I've given it 5 stars even though there are a few small issues, but they are trying so hard to renovate the place and still be open.. and what has been done so far is good. The staff and everyone there deserve more than 5 stars,they are friendly and helpful,so if you do have a problem just ask someone to help rather than moaning about it on social media. The building definitely needs more work but what is open is clean and comfortable, absolutely brilliant nights sleep in lovely fresh white bedding,lovely pillows and comfy mattress. Couldn't hear any noise from guests ,even traffic wasn't a problem. There is no restaurant at the moment, but plenty of places near by within easy walking distance. Really lovely sitting there watching the world go by,people enjoying their days at the beach. Great walk along seafront then over to The Canal and back. The walk down into town is easy enough or go through to Ladys walk towards the Canal. Go on Google maps and you'll see it all. Definitely recommend The Stade Hotel for being within easy reach of things to do,friendliness, and a good night's sleep and at a good price.
Having a bit of interior face lift but can't fault the room, just great over looking sea. Bed comfy, staff on reception friendly and informative about local area. Pleasure to stay.
