I was aware that the hotel was a bit outside the city center when I made my reservation, so the twenty-minute walk was fine... at least on the way in. The return trip, uphill, was a bit of a different experience! I suppose I could have taken a bus if needed. While breakfast wasn't included, there was a lovely cafe next door where I could grab a bite. My room was tidy and practical, and the shared guest lounges had excellent facilities for making food and drinks. By the third morning, I found myself really wishing for a kettle in my room more than I had anticipated! The staff member I encountered upon arrival was friendly, welcoming, and very efficient.
We arrived a bit early for our check-in, hoping we might get lucky and access our room sooner. Although it wasn't ready yet, that was completely okay. The staff prioritized getting our room prepared next and made us feel right at home, even offering us a cozy lounge area to relax in. Everyone was incredibly friendly. When we finally got to our room, we were thrilled to find it immaculate, and the beds were super comfy. We couldn't have asked for more. Plus, having private off-street parking gave us such peace of mind.
