The location is convenient and easy to find. The exterior is impressive with lovely balconies. It's a simple stay, but the bed was comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. There was plenty of hot water and minimal outside noise. The staff, led by the capable and welcoming Robin, smoothly handled my request to change rooms (the first room had noisy pipes). Excellent - a five-star breakfast, complemented by outstanding service. The crispy bacon was delicious, the Cumberland sausages from the butcher were top-notch, the eggs were fried to perfection, and there were chips, mushrooms, and more, all cooked impeccably. Fresh juices and fruits were also available. There is also a solid continental breakfast option.

I was searching for a place to rest for just one night during a long drive and paid £34, so I didn’t have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I checked into this budget hotel. Being tall at 6'3 and quite large, I usually prepare myself for cramped spaces, but that wasn't the case here. Everything was of more than satisfactory quality, and the staff were excellent. I would certainly choose to stay here again if I'm in the area!
