This hotel is conveniently located near the bus and train station on a quiet side street with minimal traffic at night. While the main hallways and entrance could benefit from a little tidying up—there were some cigarette butts lingering around the entrance during my 10-day visit—the room I stayed in for a single guest was very well-kept. It featured a lovely en-suite bathroom with a great shower. The bed was quite comfortable and met my needs well. One downside was that the windows didn’t seal perfectly, which allowed a bit more street noise and the sounds of local seagulls in the morning than I would have liked. The curtain rail could use a little adjustment too. On a positive note, the complimentary hot tea, coffee, and biscuits were a delightful addition. The room also included an ironing board and iron, which was handy. I did notice that the TV reception and channel options were a bit hit or miss.
