The prices were a fantastic value for what you receive, and the location couldn’t be better. The parking area was spacious, and the entrance was tidy and welcoming. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, especially a lovely young woman who made me feel right at home. The bar area was well-kept and clean, although the prices were a bit on the high side, which is common in hotels. The staff were among the friendliest I’ve encountered, and the young woman who assisted me with ordering food and choosing drinks, along with a very nice gentleman who delivered them, both exuded warmth and hospitality throughout my stay. My room was wonderful, very comfortable, and beautifully presented. I genuinely enjoyed my time there, although I believe the little details matter; perhaps a bit more coffee, sugar, tea, milk, and even some hot chocolate would be lovely, especially as Dunedin can get quite chilly.

I was genuinely astonished that the photographs don't do justice to the true beauty of this place. The room is spacious and very comfortable. I appreciated the daily complimentary water bottles. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly the staff. Being greeted by Anna (I hope I’ve got the name right), who has been there for 40 years, was something I looked forward to each morning in the breakfast area. The dinner options are excellent, and the staff are both professional and friendly. I didn’t have the opportunity to use the leisure centre, but it certainly looked inviting.
