The location right next to the cathedral and the charming High Street is absolutely delightful. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. Room: spacious with ample storage, and it was a nice touch to have a kettle and some biscuits. I absolutely adored the mattress. The shower was fantastic with excellent water pressure. The breakfast selection is quite decent if you’re not too particular about quality. The hot food was tasty, although the fruit seemed a bit syrupy and canned. The pastries and little chocolate muffins were a lovely addition, though they were a tad dry. The coffee from the machine was excellent, but I did notice there was no decaf option aside from instant sachets. It’s wonderful how the dining room windows overlook the cathedral. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the check-out time of 12 pm was very generous. I would definitely stay here again, especially since the Travelodge next door doesn’t offer breakfast.

The location is perfect, although the construction next door started early and was quite loud. I would have preferred a room on the opposite side of the building or some sort of compensation for the noise. If my stay had been longer than one night, I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to stay in the same room. I brought this up during checkout. I also appreciated having an iron and board in the room, which was really handy. The public areas are spacious and the staff at Reception, especially Nicky and Magda, were incredibly helpful in ensuring I could check in early and check out late. They took the time to explain the area using a city map, which was very useful. I would definitely recommend this place again once the construction is complete.
