The breakfast was freshly prepared and absolutely fantastic. We were on our way back to the Midlands from Scotland and had to stop by what is likely the finest butcher in Yorkshire, Hammond's in Bainbridge. Since we’re retired and taking our time, we opted to spend the night at the Rose and Crown, and we were thrilled with our choice! The new hosts have really turned things around since taking over, and it’s clear that the pub and accommodation are on the rise. Kudos to them for a job well done!
We had a wonderful time and felt so welcomed by all the staff. William, the manager, is such a delightful and humorous person. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The evening meal we enjoyed was fantastic, and afterwards, we headed to the bar area for a drink. It’s a simple space, but the locals were so friendly and included us in their chats. Our room had a lovely four-poster bed that was just amazing. Breakfast was also really tasty and satisfying. We can’t wait to return soon!
