Charming hotel with a modern touch and impeccable cleanliness. The attached curry restaurant was delightful, though the staff's grasp of English led to a few mix-ups, including one dish served incorrectly and several attempts to get the right drink order. It felt like the team was a bit intimidated by the senior owner, as if they were waiting for his direction rather than using their own initiative. The dinner service featured a luxurious napkin, but breakfast was a bit of a letdown with just a flimsy, tiny tissue-like napkin. And there was no marmalade in sight... Paddington Bear and the late Queen would surely have raised an eyebrow!
