The room was very lovely, clean, and had a comfortable bed along with a large television. There wasn't a hairdryer as mentioned, but we only needed a place to rest, so it was perfect for us. Access to the lift was great for the pushchair. We stayed near reception in Woodlands. The surrounding nature was stunning, with sheep wandering about. Each area, like the restaurant and spa, operates independently or has been sold, so there are additional charges for using those facilities, although the swimming pool was really enjoyable and pleasantly warm. We took a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, which is a wonderful old town with swans and boat rides.

The accommodation was lovely, tidy, and cosy. The bathroom had nice toiletries, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The bar and restaurant were enjoyable, and the surroundings were stunning; on our way back to the hotel, the lack of light pollution allowed us to see a breathtaking starry sky. I took a stroll in the 'Hallen' area, which is impressive from the outside but felt a bit plain inside, lacking the character and furnishings that reflect the era of the hall. The breakfast was fantastic, and overall it was a good experience; I just wouldn't choose it for a wellness retreat.
