I stayed at this hotel for the second time (June and October 2024) - the main reason for my choice was its location (right next to the train station, close to the city centre and the concert venue I visited on both occasions). The hotel is quite comfortable; I didn’t have breakfast as I usually eat later, but I enjoyed light dinners at the hotel, which were always freshly prepared, delicious, and generous (I'm a vegetarian, and there were vegetarian options available). The staff are pleasant, friendly, and accommodating, and overall, I can recommend this hotel. If I return to Derby, I would happily use their services again.
Overall, the experience was decent. Just a quick note that there's an extra charge of £8 for parking at the hotel each day, although you can find free street parking nearby overnight. The room was tidy but a bit dated, with squeaky floors and thin walls that allowed quite a bit of noise through. The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome, and the breakfast was quite pleasant. If you're looking for a budget-friendly room with breakfast included, I would certainly recommend this hotel.
