As you enter the hotel from the car park foyer to the reception, you instantly feel the charm of the establishment. Stepping in from the car park, you find yourself in a spacious lounge area that features a TV and a pool table, beautifully arranged with plenty of space to unwind. A grand fireplace elegantly divides the lounge from the bar area, which I can only imagine is wonderfully inviting during the colder months. The bar itself is a delight, and the blue lighting adds a lovely ambiance to the display. Moving along, you pass the breakfast and restaurant area, where breakfast is served from 7am to 9am, offering both continental and full English options for those with a hearty appetite. In the evening, this area transforms into a charming restaurant. Next, you arrive at the front of the hotel, which is easily accessible by foot, bus, or train. The reception staff were exceptional—friendly, engaging, and the check-in process was seamless, with everything clearly explained. We were given our room number and floor, along with directions to the stairs and lift. We were on the first floor, so we took the lift up. Upon reaching the first floor, I was captivated by the stunning staircase, which looked magnificent from top to bottom across all three levels. We made our way to room 201, and as we entered, it felt fresh and welcoming, with the windows left open to let in a pleasant breeze on a warm day. The room featured a cozy double bed, bedside cabinets, a full-length mirror, a wardrobe filled with plenty of hangers and fresh towels, and shelves inside. The wardrobe also contained the iron and ironing board. There was a large table with tea-making facilities, a phone for contacting reception, and three small drawers—one for general use, one a safe (with a key available at reception), and another housing a hairdryer. To complete the room, there was a chair under the desk and a comfy armchair for relaxation. When I opened the bathroom door, the light automatically activated the fan. The bathroom was well-sized, featuring a bath with an overhead shower, a sink, and a toilet, all stocked with toilet rolls and plenty of towels, plus an abundance of hot water.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Aston Court, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The location is absolutely perfect—just a minute's stroll from Derby railway station, which made both my arrival and departure completely seamless. The check-in process was effortless and warm. The staff were incredibly polite, attentive, and professional—always greeting me with a smile and quick to assist with any questions I had. A special shoutout to the reception team for making everything so straightforward and enjoyable. My room was immaculate, peaceful, and very comfortable, featuring thoughtful amenities that enhanced my stay—ideal for a relaxing getaway. The bed was wonderfully cozy, and I truly appreciated how clean everything was. The hotel also provides excellent value for the price. The comfort and service I received far surpassed my expectations. Breakfast was plentiful, with a nice variety to choose from—especially enjoyed the continental options. I will certainly consider returning on my next trip to Derby. This hotel perfectly balances affordability, comfort, and location, making it a fantastic choice for both short and extended stays. - Thanks to Reshma and Bipul, Cheers!
