Fantastic location and amazing staff! Our room was quite nice, although the bathroom could use a little TLC (leaky taps, a shower screen that was a bit broken, and a cistern that wouldn’t stop running). The service at reception was very friendly, and we truly appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine with a personal note—it was a lovely touch. Just a heads up for booking.com: our reservation indicated that breakfast was included, but it turned out to be just a continental breakfast (with a cooked option for an extra £7.50 per person), so it would be helpful if that was made clearer during the booking process. Overall, the staff's warmth and attentiveness made our stay a delightful one. I’m excited to see the ongoing upgrades, as it’s evident that there’s a commitment to improvement, and the building itself is beautiful.
