London Shelton Hotel, Finsbury Park

The staff were incredibly friendly and allowed us to check in early so we could make it to the Finsbury Park festival. We got a great deal by booking in advance at £92.00, while those who waited until the day had to pay £200.00. The hotel was basic but very clean and comfortable, which was just what we needed. The bed was super comfy, and the quality of the bed linen was impressive. Plus, when the receptionist noticed we were feeling warm, they kindly brought us a cold bottle of water after showing us to our room.

The location is fantastic, just a minute's walk to the train station, which is only one stop from Finsbury Park train/metro station that connects to the Piccadilly and Victoria lines. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was informed that the reception would close at 2am, but since we had an early departure at 4am, one of the staff members stayed there all night to ensure we wouldn't have to wait and risk missing our flight.
