Great value for the price. I believe this place had a closure for a bit and is now under new management. It has a no-frills vibe, and while the bar and restaurant aren't open at the moment, that wasn't an issue for me since I prefer takeout. The exterior of the buildings may look a little worn, but the rooms are clean and well-kept, with comfy beds. The en-suite bathrooms in the separate buildings appear to have been recently updated to a high standard, featuring lovely tiling and excellent showers, making them quite enjoyable. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

I stayed for a night while I was in Chelmsford, and I had a great experience. The bed was super comfortable, and the place was nice and peaceful. The staff were also really welcoming and friendly!
