The Monterey is one of Padre’s original treasures, thoughtfully brought back to life by owners who truly care. Everything is spotless, peaceful, and welcoming you can feel the pride and kindness in every detail. The staff are professional, down-to-earth, and genuinely good people. It’s the kind of place that deserves great guests and earns them.
This place was perfect and affordable for a mom with kids. We stayed in the room with three queen beds for 4 nights and rented a beach cart next door at Beach Bum rentals. The room was clean,beds were comfortable and the a/c was freezing cold. The room and beds have been updated since the pictures showing online. There is one grill outside that you can use if not in use. The towels weren’t great but I brought a big bag of my own along with a broom because it gets very sandy real quick. I would definitely stay again.
