The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was very straightforward. The room was absolutely stunning in the historic building. For the price I paid (£88), I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and comfortable room, which had everything I needed, including tea and coffee-making facilities, a fan, an iron and ironing board, a mini fridge, soap and moisturiser, lovely towels, high-quality bed linens, and an excellent super king bed (which was actually two singles pushed together). The bed even had an extra layer of luxury, and as someone who values a good night's sleep, I had a fantastic rest throughout the night. The floors were lovely and perfect for walking with dogs. We didn’t hear any noise from other guests all night, likely due to the charming old building. It is very well maintained, and the room was cosy and warm. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food.

The hotel is ideally located, offering plenty of space to explore and discover the property, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I booked three rooms, and we were fortunate that all of them were in Walton Hall, which exudes a sense of history and charm. My room was spacious, incredibly clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and large. I especially appreciated the large windows that provided a wonderful view of the city skyline. The bathroom was spacious, complete with heated floors. Although we didn't dine at the hotel, breakfast was excellent. The leisure centre was superb as well. We enjoyed a relaxing swim in the heated indoor pool, followed by some time in the sauna and steam room. And let's not forget the staff (a shoutout to Chris); everyone we encountered was extremely helpful. This truly was a five-star experience in every aspect.
