We were looking for a 3-night, 4-day sightseeing adventure in London and found ourselves overwhelmed by the high prices of central hotels that offered parking. So, we decided to explore options outside the city and discovered the Firs in Hounslow. It’s just a minute’s walk to the tube station, which was a huge plus for us. The tube ride to Leicester Square and Covent Garden took about 45 minutes. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the ample parking available, which was a relief. The reception staff provided a warm welcome; instead of just handing us our keys, they personally escorted us to our room. The hotel and our room appeared to have been recently renovated, with new carpets and a spotless, modern decor. The double-headed walk-in shower was fantastic! Plus, breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. We had an amazing 3/4 days; the tube was super convenient, with the Piccadilly line taking us to most major attractions without needing to change trains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and now that we know about the Firs Hotel and how easy it is to access central London, we will definitely return and highly recommend it to others!

The gentleman who manages the lodge is absolutely delightful and incredibly welcoming, addressing us as Sir and Madam, which we found charming. Upon our arrival, he kindly offered us a cup of tea, and noticing my difficulty with the stairs, he suggested a ground floor room, which we were more than happy to accept. The room was cozy, and the queen bed was wonderfully comfortable, plus the WiFi worked well. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was a wonderful experience; we enjoyed cereal followed by a hearty cooked breakfast and toast each morning, which fueled us for our daily adventures in London. There are plenty of Indian and Pakistani dining options nearby, and on our final night, we sought the owner's recommendation and dined at Takaa Tak, where we savored a lovely meal with a very mild curry, just as we preferred. The best part was the off-street parking, allowing our car to stay put for the three days of our visit, as the Hounslow West tube station was conveniently located just about 200 meters up the road.
