I stayed at this hotel for the second time (June and October 2024) - the main reason for my choice was its location (right next to the railway station, close to the city center and the concert venue I visited on both occasions). The hotel is quite comfortable; I didn't have breakfast since I usually eat later, but I enjoyed light dinners at the hotel, which were always freshly made, delicious, and ample (I’m a vegetarian, and there were vegetarian options available). The staff is pleasant, friendly, and accommodating, and overall, I can recommend this hotel. If I return to Derby, I would gladly use their services again.
Overall experience was decent, just a heads up that there's an additional charge of £8 for parking at the hotel each day, or you can find free street parking nearby overnight. The room was tidy but a bit outdated, with squeaky floors and thin walls that let in a lot of noise. The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome, and the breakfast was quite nice. If you're in search of a budget-friendly room with breakfast included, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
