Great affordable hotel, right near the affectionately named “Surf Ghetto” (that’s a good thing!) in San Clemente. It’s close to the train and transit and is along the coastal highway, making it ideal for those who plan to explore the Southern Orange County coastline and beyond. A cobblestone beach is a 10 minute walk away, and there’s a great gym (San Clemente Gym) across the road for those who want to stay in shape while in town. My room was super spacious, clean, and with zero signs of any bugs (I always check for that reasonably priced beach motels/hotels). Wifi worked, and the room had plenty of hangers, an ironing board, hair dryer, etc. The staff was friendly and the hotel seemed to attract a pretty good crowd of travelers. I will absolutely stay here again.
The front desk lady, Mula, was very kind, helpful and professional. The room (305) is very large and spacious. The bathtub has jets. There’s a safe, mini refrigerator, full closet, coffee machine, microwave, TV, and a window a/c unit. We were impressed with the cleanliness of this specific room, and friendliness of the staff. It’s close enough to the beach. Something to note for parking - Google Maps told us to pull in before we needed to. You must turn off the main street to find the parking lot. There’s additional parking under the hotel.
