For being literally the cheapest hotel in the Aberdeen area I can't really complain, but you're definitely getting what you pay for. We changed our holiday destination last minute and this was the cheapest place I found. Once I read the reviews I started being afraid I'd booked me and my dad into a dusty hellhole, but once we actually got here it turned out to be mostly fine. Though all the old Holiday Inn signage and branding is confusing, the bed is comfy, we can open the window, the room and bathroom are clean and tidy. The area is a bit out of the way but there are decent public transport links to the city centre. There is a huge modern church nearby with what looks like a decent cafe, but it opens late on weekends. Overall fine for the literal cheapest hotel in town, but if you have the money for the holiday I'd probably recommend forking out a little extra for somewhere in a slightly less rundown area closer to town.

Currently in the process of rebranding and still operating under the old Holiday Inn name, this is the former Exhibition & Conference Centre location. It can be tricky to locate if you're searching for Bevilla, and it does have a somewhat deserted feel. The site is a bit out of town but has good transport links. There’s plenty of parking available, and the rooms are standard with a comfy bed. I booked through Booking.com and received some confusing emails before my arrival, which was not very helpful. I couldn't reach the hotel directly to sort it out. The highlight was definitely the staff, who were all wonderful and went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe and comfortable. This was especially appreciated as a solo female traveler and the only guest during Christmas!
