For being literally the cheapest hotel in the Aberdeen area I can't really complain, but you're definitely getting what you pay for. We changed our holiday destination last minute and this was the cheapest place I found. Once I read the reviews I started being afraid I'd booked me and my dad into a dusty hellhole, but once we actually got here it turned out to be mostly fine. Though all the old Holiday Inn signage and branding is confusing, the bed is comfy, we can open the window, the room and bathroom are clean and tidy. The area is a bit out of the way but there are decent public transport links to the city centre. There is a huge modern church nearby with what looks like a decent cafe, but it opens late on weekends. Overall fine for the literal cheapest hotel in town, but if you have the money for the holiday I'd probably recommend forking out a little extra for somewhere in a slightly less rundown area closer to town.

I booked this place for around 20 pounds a night, and honestly, the value is hard to beat. There are plenty of other positives too. The room was quite spacious compared to typical UK accommodations and was generally tidy. The bus stop is just a 4-minute walk away, with numerous services that take you directly to the city center. Plus, there are coffee shops and fast food options within a 10-minute stroll. There's even a church next door that has a coffee shop! The staff were super accommodating, allowing a late checkout at 1pm, which was fantastic. As others have mentioned, it still has the Holiday Inn branding, and it's listed as Belvilla... you can find it as the ex-Holiday Inn Express on Google, so with that info, locating it should be a breeze.
