Fantastic budget-friendly hotel - check-in was a breeze! Upon arrival, we were informed that our assigned room had some issues with the air conditioning, but we were quickly moved to a different room without any hassle. The bed was super comfy, and we didn’t experience any noise disturbances. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We used the room as a launching point for our explorations, which worked perfectly for us. There’s a small shopping center nearby with shops and supermarkets, plus some places that stay open late for any last-minute needs. The room was basic, lacking tea/coffee facilities, but we didn’t expect those as they weren’t listed. It wasn’t overly large, but it was spacious enough for our needs. It did come with a hair dryer and plenty of power outlets, along with a TV and DVD player. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the heatwave! It takes about 30 minutes to get to central London via public transport, but there are plenty of buses just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, running regularly at all hours.
Het hotel was echt ingericht zoals op de foto's die online stonden. Dit maakte het een geweldige ervaring, omdat het er werkelijk zo mooi en gezellig uitziet. Je voelt je meteen thuis door de fijne sfeer. Ik kreeg een korte rondleiding waarin me werd gewezen waar de eetruimte was en ik werd naar mijn kamer begeleid. Het meisje achter de receptie was ontzettend vriendelijk en ik waardeerde haar service enorm. Ze legde ons duidelijk uit hoe alles werkte in de honesty bar. De buurt zit vol met eetgelegenheden op loopafstand en ook supermarkten die 24 uur open zijn. Al deze dingen mochten we mee naar binnen nemen in het hotel en daar ook nuttigen. We mochten een DVD lenen en keken naar Kill Bill. Op de tv was er Harry Potter te zien voor onze eerste nacht, omdat onze DVD-speler niet werkte. De volgende dag werd dit meteen opgelost door een andere DVD-speler aan te sluiten. We hadden een heerlijk bad waar we lekker in hebben gelegen.
