Check-in was a bit off-putting (male) to say the least. Apologies for interrupting your phone call!! I was on my own and informed that the lift was out of order (not sure if it will ever be fixed??) I had my husband's luggage with me since he was joining me later, so I was managing alone...no assistance offered, but I’m grateful to the 70-year-old guest who helped me halfway up the steep stairs!! I did give you a good rating, but please address the lift situation. It would make a big difference as the stairs are quite steep. Other than that, my stay was enjoyable, and the rest of the staff and room were wonderful. Excellent value for a clean room, and the location to the station is fantastic!
As someone who values comfort when traveling as a mature visitor, I found great satisfaction within these cozy walls after staying here for a few days. I really can’t stress enough how lovely everyone working there treated me, from assisting in picking out snacks late at night to organizing travel arrangements early in the morning. Simple yet effective ways they kept the atmosphere warm maintained essential relaxation levels throughout my trip. Tidy surroundings, whether it’s the lobby space or dining areas, allowed for smooth transitions, making sure nothing interrupted the calmness felt while resting overnight before the continued adventure that waits ahead.
