A Hidden Gem for Convenience and Hospitality! I recently stayed at Hotel Gauri during my visit to Kathmandu, and I must say it exceeded my expectations for a budget-friendly hotel. If you are looking for a "no-frills" but comfortable and heart-centered stay, this is the place. 📍 Location: 10/10 The location is the star of the show. It is incredibly close to Tribhuvan International Airport (about a 10–15 minute walk or 2-minute drive), which saved me so much stress for my early morning flight. More importantly, for those here for a pilgrimage, the Pashupatinath Temple is just an 8-minute walk away. Being able to walk to the morning Aarati without hiring a taxi was a huge plus. It’s also very close to the Tilganga Eye Hospital. 🛏️ Rooms & Comfort: 4/10 The rooms are modest but clean and functional. I stayed in a Deluxe Double room—it had a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with a working geyser (essential for hot showers!), and decent Wi-Fi. It’s not a luxury 5-star suite, but for the price point (around NPR 1,800 - 2,200), it provides exactly what a traveler needs: a safe, quiet, and clean place to rest. 🍽️ Food & Dining: 4/10 I was pleasantly surprised by the on-site restaurant. I tried the local Nepali Thali, and it tasted like a home-cooked meal—fresh and not too oily. They also serve good Indian and Chinese options. The ginger tea in the morning was the perfect start to my day. 🤝 Service & Staff: 5/10 This is where Hotel Gauri truly shines. The staff and management are incredibly humble and helpful. They helped me with my heavy luggage and even gave me great advice on the best times to visit the temple to avoid the crowds. They treated me like a guest in their home rather than just a customer.

The owner is such a humbel and friendly man. I reached the hotel at midnight but the staff was cooperative.... It's the best service provider in the rate around. Prime location and Friendly environment. And they are 5 minutes away from Airport and also provide pickup service. We visit everytime upon arrival and departure from Kathmandu.
