If you're looking for a place to stay near Singasari Temple, this is one of the few options available, so you might have to adjust your expectations a bit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Safira Family Residence. While it may be a bit simpler than what some Western travelers might expect, the owners reached out to me after I booked to let me know that there’s no AC and the bathroom is shared, offering me the chance to cancel if I wanted. But honestly, none of that was an issue for us. Even though East Java can get quite warm, Singasari is situated at a higher elevation, making it cooler, and the fan provided was perfectly sufficient. Plus, even though it’s not right in the city or in Singasari town, there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which is a nice bonus.
If you're looking for a place to stay near Singasari Temple, you might have to compromise a bit, but Safira Family Residence turned out to be quite pleasant.
