I booked Kampung 168 for a few days and ended up extending my stay — which probably says it all. It's a peaceful, green property with huge old trees, tropical gardens, three pools and real character. It feels like an established Bali place rather than one of the shiny new hotels popping up around Uluwatu. The rooms aren't brand new, but everything is genuinely clean and well-maintained, essentials like beds and linen are great. I actually love the nature here. Yes, you might see a gecko or mosquito, and leaves occasionally land in the pool — but that's a fair trade for waking up surrounded by trees and gardens rather than concrete. Even the bumpy little road (which is usual on the bukit) leading in has become part of the charm. Once you arrive, you're tucked away from the busy main roads, making it perfect for exploring Jimbaran, Balangan and the Bukit by scooter. For the price, the space and facilities are incredible — gym, scooter rental, laundry, restaurant, three pools. Nothing pretends to be luxury, but it doesn't need to. Most importantly, Kampung 168 is Balinese-owned. With this part of Bali changing so quickly, that matters. The staff are warm and helpful, and the whole place feels genuinely personal. If you appreciate character, greenery, cleanliness, local ownership and amazing value — and don't need everything brand new and polished — this is a little gem. 🤍

They say you get what you pay for, well I definitely didn't pay enough for the service I received. Talk about a welcoming, the staff made me feel like i was at home from the moment I was greeted and part of the family not too long after. This may not be a 5 star resort but neither is the price, I feel I under paid for what I received. Room was clean, air-conditioning was freezing and the shower packed a nice punch. There was also a full size fridge in the room to keep my snacks cool, a communal kitchen, gym & swimming pools. If you looking for a nice, clean cheap room with super friendly staff, this is the place for you. I can't thank the Kampung168 team enough, we will definitely be back soon. thanks again for you kind hospitality 🙏
