The valley of flowers, Nubra is an ideal location to go for a long walk along the Sumur Sand Dunes. The sparkling blue Pangong lake is located in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Another wetland reserve and the largest high altitude lake in India is Tsomoriri, also known as ‘Mountain Lake’, set amidst the mountain ranges in Changthang. DAY

Arrive at Leh

Upon arrival at the Leh Kushok Bakula Airport, meet our representative and get transferred to your OYO hotel for check-in. Have welcome tea or coffee and spend the day resting and getting acclimatized to Leh’s climate. In the evening, visit Shanti Stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa. Enjoy a comforting night stay at the hotel.

DAY

Excursion to Sham Valley

Have breakfast and drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh–Kargil highway. This day is dedicated to sightseeing at major attractions of the Sham Valley. Visit the Hall of Fame (museum constructed by Indian army) and proceed towards Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Then, drive for a 4 kms to the Magnetic Hill, which defies the law of gravity followed by a visit to the beautiful confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers at Nimmu Village and drive back to Leh. Enroute, explore the famous Spituk monastery. Spend your evening at leisure and stay overnight at the hotel.

Leh to Nubra valley

After breakfast, begin the drive towards Nubra Valley and enroute traverse the highest motorable road on earth - Khardung La Pass (18384 feet). From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley and seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, to the very north spotting the lofty mountain Saser Massif. Enjoy the sight of the beautiful Nubra Valley, popularly known as Ldumra or the ‘valley of flowers’. Stay the night at the camp.

DAY

Nubra to Leh

After an early breakfast, check-out from the camp and drive to Hunder where you can ride on a bactrian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert and snow-capped mountains on the horizon. Between Hunder and Diskit you come across sand dunes besides the road. The rocky mountains that characterize the Ladakhi landscape form a contrast against the snow-capped mountains. On return, stop at Diskit - the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing shops and local way of life. Diskit is famous for 515 year-old Buddhist Monastery, situated on a hilltop. Later, drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardung La Top. On arrival, check-in to your Leh OYO hotel and spend rest of the day at rest. Stay overnight.

DAY

Leh to Pangong, via Changla Pass

After an early breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake. First, drive towards the Changla Pass (5486 mtrs). Going through the long and winding roads, stop at the Changla Pass for a quick photo session and continue driving down to the village of Tangtse, where you can relax with a cup of hot tea. Finally, reach the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). Upon arrival, check-in at the camp near the lake. Enjoy dinner & overnight stay.

Pangong Explore and drive back to Leh.

Begin your morning with a surreal view of Pangong, spending some time at leisure. Later, drive back to leh. On arrival, check-in at our OYO hotel. In the evening, you can stroll around the markets and streets (on your own) for some last minute souvenir shopping. Rest overnight at your hotel.

Transfer to Tsomoriri via Chumathang

In the morning, leave for Tsomoriri Lake. Drive further towards Chumathang which is famous for medicinal hot springs. On the way, visit the Sumdah village and continue for another 55 kms to reach Tsomoriri. The Tsomoriri Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok. It has numerous species of birds, like the bar headed goose, crested grebe, the Brahmini duck (ruddy sheldrake) and the brown-headed gull. Check-in at our camp for an overnight stay.

Tsomoriri To Leh via Tsokar and Tanglangla

After an early breakfast, check-out from the camp and visit the Korzok Village with houses and Gompas that appear like a mirage. You will see a few barley fields here that must be among the highest cultivation in the world. Later, drive towards Tsokar finally reaching Leh after a 8-hour journey.

Departure from Leh

On arrival at Leh, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.

  • Per person prices are quoted on twin-share basis (2 persons sharing a room)
  • A maximum of 3 adults are allowed in one room
  • The third occupant of the room shall be provided a mattress/rollaway bed
  • The package price does not include –Expenses of personal nature, such as laundry, telephone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages, mini bar charges, tips, portage, camera fees etc. Any meals and services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions
  • Airline seats and hotel rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • In case of unavailability in the listed hotels, arrangement for an alternate accommodation will be made in a hotel of similar standard.
  • Room heaters if required can be provided on chargeable basis, subject to availability.
  • Hot water is only provided for 2 hours during the morning and evening in Leh. In camps, hot water is only available for a limited time in the morning.
  • Only vegetarian meals are served at Nubra and Pangong.
  • Connectivity (phone as well as internet) is poor and unreliable in Ladakh. Most hotels will not have a Wi-Fi connection.
  • Transportation shall be provided as per the itinerary and will not be at disposal.
  • OYO reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to: Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, overbooking of hotels / flights, cancellation / re-routing of flights, closure of / entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
  • It is mandatory for all guests to carry valid photo IDs (Passport/Driving License/Voter ID Card). PAN Card is not accepted at many places as a valid photo ID.
  • People from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Myanmar and Bhutan cannot travel to restricted areas outside Leh such as Nubra Valley, Pangong, and Tsomoriri etc. Nationals of countries other than these can travel to Ladakh provided they don’t have a Diplomatic passport.
