OYO’s Weddingz.in launches ‘The Weddingz Report’

The fabulous team at Weddingz.in have released ‘The Weddingz Report’, showcasing some interesting consumer trends from the Weddingz.in app between the period of July 2019 – September 2019. The ad-free discovery and content app recently crossed 1 Lakh+ downloads within a short span of three months since its launch. With an aim to provide consumers with a one-stop-shop solution for all their wedding-related requirements, the Weddingz.in app offers an array of venue and non-venue services like photographers, make-up artists, designers, decorators, bands and much more.  

Among the other findings, the data analysis revealed that Tier-II cities saw the highest number of downloads with Patna leading the way, followed by Lucknow, Indore, Agra and Jaipur. A detailed analysis of top searches between the period of July 2019 – September 2019 indicated that for the upcoming wedding season, India is looking for venues, lehengas and banquets. 

In terms of the hundreds of services offered by Weddingz.in, the demand for venue related offerings topped the charts, which indicates the huge opportunity that exists for digitally-enabled venue discovery. Amongst the non-venue services registered on the app, full-fledged wedding planning emerged as the top service to-be-weds opted for, followed by photography, Mehendi and makeup. The data also revealed that while women formed 60% of the total downloads, men were not too far behind with 40% of the app downloads. Nationally, the largest consumer segment was between the ‘eligible’ age group of 25-35 years, with every user spending close to 3-minutes (2.55) on an average, scrolling through the app.
