Pushkar is a town embraced by Aravalli hills in Ajmer district of Rajasthan at an elevation of 510 m above sea level. It is situated 11 kms northwest of Ajmer and is famous pilgrimage site .The city was built around the Pushkar Lake which has references in the Vedas and Puranas and is one of the most ancient cities of India.
