DAY 01: Arrive Auckland

Kia Ora!! Welcome to New Zealand. Set your foot on this vibrant city! On arrival in Auckland you will meet our RLT Tour Representative and be transferred to your hotel by private car. The rest of the evening is free to explore the city which is the gateway to New Zealand. Built on a narrow isthmus between two island-studded harbours, Auckland is renowned for its beauty, with 100km of coastline crammed with stunning beaches, 23 regional parks, two marine reserves and a landscape dotted with 48 volcanic cones. DAY 02 : Auckland – Bay of Islands

Have a hearty breakfast this morning and board your coach from the hotel. Depart from Auckland and cross the Harbour Bridge across sparkling Waitemata Harbour, which happens to be the main access to Auckland by sea. Travel through the northland towns Orewa, Warkwoth and Wellford en route to Whangarei, the commercial and cultural hub of North Island. Surrounded by forested hills, Whangarei also has a harbour which is home to yachts from around the world. At Kawakawa, also known as train town; turn off for Paihia, in the heart of the Bay of Islands Maritime and Historic Park. This beautiful east coast bay, with its 144 islands, forms a haven where dolphins and other sea species come to feed and play. Paihia is the primary base for the many tours you can take in this region. Afternoon: Enjoy a guided tour of Waitangi Treaty Grounds (Seat in Coach), where a treaty established a British Governor of New Zealand, recognized Māori ownership of their lands and other properties, and gave the Māori the rights of British subjects. Pick up Point: Hotel Pick-up Time: 1 PM Duration – 1 hour Later, take a ‘Hole in the Rock/Cape Brett’ cruise (Seat in Coach). This is the most popular cruise in the Bay for good reason! A modern high speed catamaran escorts you in comfort around the Bay, past sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and many varied island landscapes. Enjoy the views as you cruise past the Cape Brett Lighthouse, before arriving at the majestic Hole in the Rock at Motukokako Island – hold your breath as the skipper navigates through the narrow space and admire the rock walls which soar above you. You may disembark from this cruise in Romantic Russell and take some time to explore this historic town and return to Paihia by ferry at your leisure. DAY 03: Bay of Islands

After a good breakfast, explore the places at your own pace. The Bay of Islands is an aquatic playground lavishly furnished with 144 islands and a myriad of secluded beaches. It is one of the most picturesque and popular holiday sites in New Zealand, combining great outdoor experiences with some of New Zealand’s most significant historic sites. DAY 04 : Bay of Islands – Auckland

After breakfast today, spend some time exploring the Islands at your own. Later in the afternoon, get back to Auckland. Auckland has something for everyone – the adventurous, the sophisticated, the young, and the young at heart. Auckland teems with life, from its vibrant, regenerated waterfront and ever-expanding Downtown district to the hip suburbs with their Edwardian and Victorian delights, and glorious beaches. From 24-hour casinos and live theatre to cinema, clubs, pubs, bars, and dance spots, you can party all the way to breakfast time. Rest of the day at leisure and Overnight stay at Auckland. ALAS! Today is the last day of this wonderful getaway. After a good morning meal, transfer to airport by coach to fly back home. Bid goodbye to our RLT Tour Manager and New Zealand.
