Leaving Melbourne behind, explore the Great Ocean Road, an Australian National Heritage listed 243-kilometre stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. DAY 01:

Melbourne – Warrnambool

WELCOME to Australia! Meet the RLT Tour Representative at the airport and get set for one of the world’s greatest road trips on the gorgeous Great Ocean Road. Enjoy great photo opportunities, including the one at Twelve Apostles, a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park, which jut out of the sea near the limestone cliffs from which they were carved by the sea. These unique outcrops are breathtakingly beautiful. Continue your journey to the whale watching capital of Warrnambool. Overnight stay at Warnambool. Day 2:

Warrnambool – Coonawarra

This morning you visit Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill State Game Reserve, a native wildlife haven located in a dormant volcano. Your Guide will provide you with an Aboriginal perspective about flora, wildlife, volcanic formations, bush existence and medicinal practices. Then marvel at the pristine vistas before you continue along the coast through picturesque Port Fairy. Cross the South Australia border into Mt. Gambier for a city tour. Stop to view the spectacular and mysterious Blue Lake then travel through Penola, birthplace of Mary MacKillop, Australia’s first saint. Your final destination today is Coonawarra, one of Australia’s fine wine regions and particularly well-known for producing world class red wines especially Cabernet Sauvignon. Have dinner at a comfortable lodge as you sample some of Australia’s favourite wines. Overnight stay at Coonawarra. Day 3:

Coonawarra – Adelaide

En-route to Adelaide, head north-west to Meningie which is situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Albert. Reach Adelaide, the elegant city known for its colonial stone architecture, expansive parklands, lively festivals and incredible sense of space. Adelaide is easy to get around with rolling hills to the east and beaches to the west. Explore the museums and libraries of North Terrace, dine on dedicated ‘eat streets’ or picnic in gardens that sprawl over almost half the city. Overnight stay at Adelaide. Day 4:

Adelaide – Kangaroo Island

First up, visit seaside Glenelg, a popular beach-side suburb of Adelaide. Then you continue on to the picturesque coastal village of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula with our RLT Tour Representative. You’ll have some free time to explore, maybe take a walk to Granite Island and see some sensational coastal views. Travel by ferry to Kangaroo Island. You’ll have dinner overlooking the spectacular Backstairs Passage, a strait lying between Fleurieu Peninsula on the Australian mainland and the eastern end of Kangaroo Island. Kangaroo Island Sights

Today head to Flinders Chase National Park for some great photo opportunities at the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch. You’ll also have the chance to spot koalas, wallabies and kangaroos. You are invited to Andermel Marron Farm for a food and wine experience that captures much that is very special about Kangaroo Island. Andermel will host you with a visit to the Marron (freshwater crayfish) ponds and tanks. Taste some of their own Two Wheeler Creek wine and farm-produced bush tucker before sampling the Marron with lunch. Later, join a guided tour at the Seal Bay Conservation Park and walk among a colony of sea lions. Celebrate your trip this evening at a Farewell Dinner with RLT Tour Representative. Overnight stay at hotel in Kangaroo Island. Day 6:

Depart Adelaide

After breakfast you will be transferred by ferry from Kangaroo Island and then by coach to Adelaide Airport to connect with your onward flight. Bid Goodbye to our RLT Tour Representative and visit RLTGO.COM to plan some more memorable trips for you.
