Ladakh Road Trip Day 1: Delhi – Manali :

After a hectic college/office schedule, give a fresh start to your Delhi to Leh road trip. Board a comfortable AC Volvo nearby 6 pm (from Connaught Place in Delhi).

Ladakh Road Trip Day 2: Manali :

After overnight ride, your arrival will be at 9 am in Manali. Start your day with hot spring waters in Vashishtha Village. Try visiting various caves in Old Manali or chill by an isolated stretch of the Beas river. This is also a last minute shopping point for the basic essentials.

Ladakh Road Trip Day 3: Manali – Jispa [138 kms] :

Post breakfast leave for Jispa (5-6 hours drive via Rohtang pass) where landscape changesfrom lush green Manali to arid, rigged peaks of Lahaul and Chandra valley. Explore the whole place the complete afternoon. Spend night at a guest house in Jispa.

Ladakh Road Trip Day 4: Jispa – Leh [335 kms] :

This would be the longest day of this Manali to Leh road trip. Today we will cross the high altitude passes of Baralachala & Lachangla, along with mighty Skyangchu thang (earth’s biggest and highest plateau with a stretch of 42 kms).At Baralachala, you will be getting the view of calm Surajtaal which is also the source of Bhaga River (Himalayan River). The river then meets river Chandra that has its origin from Chandrataal in Spiti Valley at Tandi (crossed a day before). From Tandi this is called Chenab (locally called Chandrabhaga). If you wanted to witness Snow covered Surajtaal, it is favourable to take this journey in June. We will then cross the mighty Tanglalng La and start descending towards the Indus Valley. By late evening, give yourself some rest by checking in to guest house in Leh.

Ladakh Road Trip Day 5: Leh- Sham Valley Excursion [75kms] :

After the breakfast, drive downstream along the Indus River on Leh- Kargil Highway. Start your sightseeing with Hall of Fame (a museum by Indian Army) near Leh. After that proceed towards GurudwaraPatthar Sahib while going deeper in the Himalayas. A drive of next 4 km will then take you to the magnetic hill which defies the Law of gravity and a further drive will take you to the confluence point of the Indus and the Zanskar River. Giving a visit to these places, drive back to Leh enroute visiting Spituk Monastry. Spend your leisure time in the evening and overnight stay at a hotel.

Ladakh Road Trip Day 6: Nubra – Via Khardungla Top [120kms] :

Start your day with the excitement of driving on highest road of earth (Khardungla, 18384 feet) to reach the famous Silk Route. Then visit the famous Deskit Gompa of Nubra Valley. Walk on the sand dunes and ride on the famous Double humped Camel (Bactrian Camel brought to Ladakh by ancient Silk Route traders). Get a night stay in Nubra.
