From the outside, the hotel looked a bit dated, and I thought, "Oh dear." But I was pleasantly surprised by the very modern and fresh atmosphere in the entrance area. Check-in was smooth. There was a bit of a wait for the elevator, despite the two elevators. The room was perfectly adequate for me in terms of size and amenities. Admittedly, the bed, with its dark frame, looked a little dated. The bathroom was small but very modern. Everything was fine. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. Spread across several stations, there was a superb selection, including some more exotic items. The dining room has a modern and urban feel. The only downside was the "cage" in the underground parking garage, which was far too small. We could only fit some of our six bikes in, and even then, we had to carefully rearrange some that were already parked there. The rest ended up being parked outside, near the bike shelter for the thermal baths. Signage in the parking garage directing bikes to the cage would be very helpful. Although the reception staff told us which deck to use when we picked up our keys, we wandered around quite a bit at first 😂. In conclusion, I can say that my stay was a success. Many thanks to the friendly staff. Oh yes, there's a bottle of medium water in the room. Great! And I also easily got a kettle and a glass for my evening tea from reception.

The rooms are clean and combine functional furnishings with a nostalgic retro charm reminiscent of bygone decades – it's not for everyone, but it can certainly have its appeal. While the public areas are already modern, the rooms have a deliberately timeless feel. A real highlight of our suite was the swing seat. There was also plenty of space and generous closets with ample storage. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fair. We were particularly impressed by the location: directly opposite the salt spa, and the beautiful Lüneburg city center is easily reachable on foot in about ten minutes. The view of the spa's roof is more functional than spectacular – but the subtle smell of chlorine at least serves as a reminder of how close relaxation is. 😉 Breakfast was a real plus: varied, plentiful, and of very high quality. The staff was diligent, attentive, and mostly very friendly – both in the restaurant and at reception. The elevators, however, require a bit of patience. During our stay, only one elevator was working, and it was quite slow. Unless you're staying on the seventh floor, you'll probably reach your destination faster via the stairwell. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay. If you're looking for a superbly located hotel with a fair price, a great breakfast, and friendly service, and you don't mind a charming retro atmosphere, this is the place for you. We'd gladly return!
