Spacious room, great balcony, great air conditioning and mini-fridge. Shower was okay, but sometimes the water wasn't hot (warm) and the shampoo kit was always empty. If you choose this hotel because you want to cook, it's best not to... help is only for occasional things, as the portable stove is very slow, the pans are very old (two), there are few appliances and it didn't even have the basics (sponge, detergent, dishcloth, salt and oil) it didn't have anything at all... in other words, you have to buy 100% of everything and for travelers it's very impractical. Pool always clean, good towels. The reception opened at 9 am and closed at 6 pm I think... in other words, during our stay we couldn't request anything because it was always closed before we left or when we returned. Rosando, the employee, was present almost 24 hours a day, super friendly, and kept the hotel's common areas, the pool, and the area with chairs and umbrellas spotless! We would stay again, yes! A praia exatamente em frente nao é tao boa para banho pois existem pedras.. porém a poucos metros é possivel o banho. Quarto amplo, otima sacada , ótimo ar condicionado e frigobar. Banho ok, mas as vezes a água nao ficava quente (morna) e o kit de shampoo sempre vazio. Se vc escolher esse hotel por querer cozinhar, melhor nao....ajuda para coisas pontuais, pois o fogão portátil é bem lento, as panelas bem velhas (duas), poucos equipamentos e nao tinha nem o básico (esponja, detergente, pano de louca, sal e azeite) nao tinha nada mesmo.. ou seja tem que comprar 100% e para quem viaja é bem inviável. Piscina sempre limpa, boas toalhas. A recepção abria as 09h e fechava as 18h eu acho..ou seja, durante a nossa estadia nao conseguimos solicitar nada pois estava sempre fechada antes de sairmos ou quando voltávamos. ROSANDO o funcionário estava quase que 24horas presente, super simpático e mantinha as áreas comuns do hotel, a piscina e a parte das cadeiras e guarda sois impecáveis! Ficaríamos novamente sim! Porém sem intenção de usar a cozinha. No mais adoramos.

I am circling back over nearly 4 months later because I forgot to write a review and Capital O Mimi deserves ALL the love! I stayed at this lovely hotel for a week in March. I stayed solo as a female traveller, and I felt very safe and looked after. The night watchman was incredibly kind and I could tell he cared about my safety. but The couple who operate the hotel are very welcoming and fun to chat with. The masseuse on the beach and beach wait staff took great care of me. I slept well and couldn't hear much street noise from my room. I only take off one star for some areas of cleanliness that could be improved, but things I was able to ultimately manage myself. Overall, the beachfront setting at this price point really can't be beat, and I would recommend this as a safe and wonderful place to stay in Playa del Carmen
