(Translated by Google) My first stay at this hotel and I have to say that thanks to the friendly staff, it will be satisfactory. We know that London hotels are excessively expensive for the quality they offer, at least compared to Spanish ones. I have been in two rooms in the same stay. The first on the reception floor at street level. As soon as I saw it, I asked for change because the cars continually passed just two meters from the window and I imagined that it would be difficult to sleep at night. There was no other available that day but there was for the next two nights. The first room, number 7 horrible. The big bed, yes, and the new shower but small and without soap. The lights on the bedside table did not work and the noise at the end was bearable but I would not choose it again. The second was number 32 on the third floor. And it was like night to day. Ampmia with less noise here where you could still hear cars and the bathroom had a shower head and rain shower. Of course with gel. Ah! And the nightstand lights working properly. Another positive point is the elevator. It is rare to find elevators in hotels that do not belong to chains. And the most positive thing, the proximity to Victoria Station, to comfortably reach Gatwick and to connect with the London train and underground network. From my point of view, highly recommended within the mid-range price range.
We stayed in July 2023, twice (before and after a trip to York). Location is superb, close to Victoria station, staff very lovely, beds comfy, good pressure in the showers and room clean. Excellent cafe's, restaurants, mini-supermarkets within walking distance - don't miss Gail's for breakfast. The area feels safe. The only complaint is the hotel needs a little maintenance. The USB ports, some power sockets and the majority of hairdryers we encountered didn't work. Judging by reviews, that's been the situation for a while, so please get onto it, Oyo.
